Luke Chiang was born and raised in Arizona. He is currently 23 and is attending Arizona state university for a business degree. He only has 5 songs released on Spotify from 2019, but recently has been blowing up. with his most popular song "Shouldn't be" with 24 million streams he has started to grow an audience for himself. Unfortunately, LUke was diagnosed with LPR (Laryngopharyngeal Reflux). This is a symptom that makes acid from the stomach travel up towards the throat, causing sore throats and an irritated voice box. With this, Luke hasn't been able to release any new songs but is giving many of his fans updated on his health, and talking about how he focuses on making a new album giving awareness to mental health.

"may I ask" is luke's second most popular song with 11.7 million plays on Spotify. He collabs with Alexis Kim on this song which is his first collab for one of his songs. one verse saying "was it wrong for me to trust, I'm still only seventeen". This verse just showed that at such a young age, luke had strong feelings for this girl just for her to do him dirty.
"paragraphs" is luke's third most popular song coming in with 8 million plays on Spotify. using more of a sad piano for the song, it makes you feel like you were in his position during this time. one verse saying "So how do I tell you I’m still paranoid you’ll leave". We can see that luke has gained lots of mental trauma from this experience.
"Used to me" is Luke's fourth song he released, this song has over 6.5 million views. although it's not his most popular song, it's still a great song. In this song, Luke talks about how he doubts himself, in one verse he sings "I hope you won't get tired of me, Do my best to offer something new to you". Luke expresses that gut feeling that many get with their partners in that some of them might lose feelings for their significant other. He worries that in his relationship, this is currently happening and that he needs reassurance.
"home" takes a different spin on Luke's type of music. For this song, he expresses his love and gratefulness to god. From this, we can see that god plays a big role in luke's life, such as keeping him safe, making him feel loved, and that he's not alone. In one of the lyrics he talks about how he was broken into pieces, but God was there to pick him back up on his feet and turn his life around.

Luke is a big advocate on Mental health, on his latest Instagram live, he talked about how he wants to dedicate the next songs he makes to bring more awareness to mental health. Luke has said that as a victim of mental health problems and how much he is growing as an artist, he wants to use his platform for good. He launched a tote bag sale with some colleges with the intent to donate 50% of sales to mental health organizations.
